USB-UIRT and Motorola RG2400V

Hi Everyone,

I have just had a new cable system installed. The current STB is a Motorola RG2400V. When running the source setup for Sage. I choose External Box, and choose USB-UIRT. When it asks me to press the zero button on my remote, I do but noting happens. Sage appears to freeze. It won't let me progress or go back.

I looked through the forums and found a person with the similar problem under the "Full USB-UIRT" functionality thread but I did not see a resolution.

I do not have girder or anything like that installed. I am running Sage TV as a service. I installed the USB-UIRT using the latest drivers off the support site form the maker of the device. Other than that. I have not done anything special.

Any ideas would be great.

Try not running it as a service first. Make sure your remote is within an inch or two of the USB-UIRT. I think I remember some people having this issue before. After you finish and verify it works then quit Sage and restart it up as a service. You should be good to go.

Thanks for the reply Gerry. After removing the service it did detect the remote. Thanks for the info. I a however facing a new problem. Now it detects the remote, but says "There was an error learning the remote control code. Please release the buton on the remote control". I am holding down the button as instructed. It is almost as if my remote is not sending the signal long enough. Any ideas?
