Reinstall

I think I have a bad install after messing around trying to get me IR transmitter to work and no EPG data being populated. Now Sage won't start (get a Java error message). Can I do a clean install of Sage TV after deinstalling the software? I have an access code. And any suggestions on installing the software using the Actisys IR with a Directv reciever (samsung)? Couldn't get the EPG data to populate.

Thanks

You can do a resintall after uninstalling SageTV. Your properties file, database and video files will be saved so when you reinstall every thing will be there. What version are you running and what exactly is the error message?

When you use an IR-200L with SageTV, make sure you don't install any of their software, SageTV handles installing the appropriate files.

You can force an EPG update by adding and then removing a channel in Channel Setup.

I get the unable to open IR from file ....error and then I get a Java lang.null.pointer exception.

When you say don't use their software (actisys) I still need to load their drivers for WINXP don't I?

Thanks

There should be no reference to the Actisys whatsoever in Windows. No drivers, nothing in device manager. The only place it should be referenced is in Sage & its files.
