Previous Channel button ?

Hey guys,

I've tried mapping my Harmony remote to utilze the "channelPrev" button listed in the harmony setup for sagetv, but all it does is show program info and an auxillary menu.

Is there a Previous channel button that I am missing?

Did you link it to the Previous Channel command in SageTV?

In the Harmony setup for Sage I only saw a "ChannelPrev" listed, I assume that means previous channel. However, It did not behave as expected.

Is there "Previous Channel" versus a "ChannelPrev"?

I don't know anything about the Harmony setup -- what I was trying to point out is that you may still need to link the remote button to the Previous Channel command in Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Link command. While there, you can see if the button is assigned to some command already before changing it.

Oh.. ok.. I guess I missed the fact I can map commands in Sagetv. I will try tonight.

Ok.. I played with it for a couple hours last night. Apparently the Harmony setup program doesn't have the correct, or all, the available SAgetv commands.

Example:

In Harmony setup, I created a custom button that outputs the "channelprev" command for Sagetv. However, when using the Sagetv utility to verify IR commands, it recognizes this signal as the "enter" key.

Now Harmony does not provide Sagetv support for versions higher than 5.04. Did Sagetv change some of the button outputs for 6.0? I doubt it.

Within the Harmony setup app, I have very few commands that I could link to the previous channel command of sagetv. Example, it lists a "green", "red", "yellow".

Has anyone with a Harmony remote successfully got the previous channel command working?

I have it working on my Harmony 676. I took my original remote which is the Streamzap and programmed one of the colored buttons at the bottom for Previous Channel (instructions found in SageTV manual). I then had the Harmony learn the channelprev command from this button.

Yeah, I figured as much, however, I don't have a MCE remote with a previous channel button.

I will have to see if the Harmony setup program lists the streamzap
