EventCodes for pound and star
I looked but can't seem to find event codes for the pound and star keys. Can someone point me in the right direction?
TIA - Jeff |

Not sure what you are exactly needing. Are you looking for set up the # and * buttons to do something in Sage, or to actually send a # or * in a sendmessage.
This is what I have this in my irremote.ini Quote:
I didn't see any info in the Sage manual about any event codes for # and *. |

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to send # and * from Girder. I see event codes for Num 0 through Num 9, but not for # and *. Does Sage not use these two keys?

OK, did a little more digging. when Sage updates the irremote.ini for a hauppauge remote, it sets up the following lines:
Quote:
Now, for the #, I dunno what "{ctrl}{shift}c" does so I can't help you on that one. What do you need # for in Sage? You could always send in a support request to see if there are any event codes that haven't been documented yet. |

All commands are listed at the end of chapter 5 in the manual and in Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Link Command (v6 displays the command number for each command).

Ah, ok, I got it. I confused "event codes" with "default keystroke", which happen to be the same for the number pads. Since there's no "#" or "*" default keystroke, it's up to me to map the remote buttons to whatever event codes I want.
Thanks for pointing me to chapter 5, and sorry about the confused question. - Jeff |
