Sounds like you're having bandwidth problems downloading the video in realtime.

I Just installed v6.1 (was running 5.04 while waiting for 6.1 to become full release). Neither Google nor Youtube videos work for me when using VMR9. When I switch to Overlay -- everything works fine. Anyone else seeing this or just me??? Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that when in VMR9, I do get sound...)

Of course this opens a can of worms because when I use overlay, it zooms in and cuts off part of the picture and the SageTv interface. When I stop playback it returns to the right size. I could never straighten this out before (I'm running Forceware 84.21 and Purevideo 1.02-223).

I also cannot get google video to display in WMR9. It runs fine in overlay but with WMR9 all I get is sound. As far as your other problem when using overlay just simply go into detail setup then multimedia. Where is says "Aspect Ratio settings" click on modify. Horiz Stretch and Vert stretch are set to 100% just set them to 99% that will fix your stretching problem.

For errors playing the online videos when using VMR9, I've heard that it may have to do with an older video card and/or video driver. Try an updated driver.

If you also use Placeshifter, SageTV would be interested in hearing whether Placeshifter can play the same online videos using its new 3D mode option, found in the General Settings tab of the PS Servers Manager.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 on my client. With the most current drivers 93.71_forceware. And I have never been able to get Google video with WMR9.

It must be something with my older video card (onboard from nForce 2 chipset). I tried the 93.71 drivers, but It didn't fix this problem, and actually caused stuttering with normal mpeg2 -- so i'm back to the 84.21 drivers.

Setting Horz. & Vert. Stretch to 99% did fix the problem with overlay being zoomed in!!
