Question Will the FCC ruling impact SageTV

Today, the FCC approved a new requirement that will require Digital Television Receivers to use the MPAA's broadcast flag, and apply DRM to the device's outputs.

Slashdot article

Will this affect how SageTV can save, and distribute content over LAN?

Thanks!

From what I understand, it will not prohibit recording - only the copy and re-transmital of HDTV content. The fair use of content is a well established right. Not sure how their going to do that!
Also It should probably be some time before this can come to be since the hardware would have to be built and distributed.
