Music library getting full?
I'm having problems getting SageTV to import audio files lately. At first I thought it might have been because I had 2 audio files with similar filenames and titles. (part 1 and part 2 of same live show)
Now I'm not so sure. How many titles should the music datebase be able to hold? |

As far as I know, there isn't a limit... how many files do you have?
You could enable debug logging (already enabled in v6 beta) to see what the log file says. - Andy

I had a similar issue since upgrading to v6.0.15.... I added several folders of MP3 files into the music directory that I defined in SageTV, but none showed up in SageTV. Repeated re-scanning simply wouldn't display them. I ended up just removing the directory definition from within SageTV's setup, and then re-assigned it, and after a few minutes of processing, everything re-imported and everything showed up just fine. Not sure if this is a bug in v6.0.15 or not.

I have close to 7000 tracks with no such problems if it helps.

Just thought I'd add...
I'm a recent SageTV user, and am using 6.015. I imported 20,165 tunes into my audio library (100+ GB housed on a USB drive) and have had no problems other than it's a little sluggish browsing through them. |

I uninstalled and reinstalled JAVA (now JRE 5 v10) and also uninstalled and reinstalled Sage.
I was also thinking this might be caused by the Winamp plugin, but using Sage's original XML file didn't fix it. I left sage.properties entries for the Winamp plugin intact. Debug console shows something interesting when Sage loads: [Full GC 49195K->43276K(52864K), 0.5292983 secs] [GC 44476K->44332K(77632K), 0.0037424 secs] [GC 48431K->48414K(77632K), 0.0101474 secs] [GC 53340K->48676K(77632K), 0.0024808 secs] [GC 53604K->49214K(77632K), 0.0042301 secs] Sat 12/9 13:12:31.416 Exception in thread "LibraryImporter" Sat 12/9 13:12:31.41 6 at sage.ao.a(Unknown Source) Sat 12/9 13:12:31.417 at sage.bx.a(Unknown Source) Sat 12/9 13:12:31.417 at sage.bx.U(Unknown Source) Sat 12/9 13:12:31.418 at sage.b7.iO(Unknown Source) Sat 12/9 13:12:31.418 at sage.b7.access$000(Unknown Source) Sat 12/9 13:12:31.418 at sage.b7$1.run(Unknown Source) [GC 54142K->49283K(77632K), 0.0051487 secs] [GC 53949K->49305K(77632K), 0.0050579 secs] Exception in library importer...Hmmm? I wonder if upgrading to Sage 6 would fix this problem? |

I figured this one out from checking the debug logs as Opus4 recommended. LibararyImport was choking on one of my .jpg photos. It was trying to re-import metadata from the photo and went fatal every time.
