Solution: Playback studder problem with Rivatuner
FYI,
I recently added rivatuner to my htpc system to set fan speeds when idle and working my 6600GT card. I was getting studdering all the time during playback. I recently troubleshot the problem down to rivatuner doing it driver polling for videocard status such as core temp and vid card fan duty cycle. After I turned that off, it went smooth again. my system: Asus 7NSomething-deluxe running a AMD 2800+ cpu MSI Geforce 6600GT video card using temp monitoring bios hack. 512 megs mem, 3 HDrives, 2 PVR250's, 1 VBox 151 HD card, 1 intel Gbit lan card
