Aussie guidedata?

Hey Aussies,

What's everyone using for their guide data. I'm using ice tv these days. Are there other sources out there that are working reliably for you? I've got another 11 months free subscription to go (I referred a mate) so don't plan on changing anything in the near future. Just curious.

Mick.

Hey Mick,

Most of us are using the oztivo guide data. http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/

They have a good grabber over at Australian Xp Media Center site which is pretty quick.

Cool. I checked oztivo out a couple of years ago (i think it was that long ago) and at the time the guide data wasn't very complete. Is it reliable now or do you get periods when there's no data available?

For the most part it is complete but you will only be able to get a week of data at the max.

The oztivo data includes foxtel which is where ice guide is lacking. Hopefully with the court case between ninemsn and ice common sense prevails.

A week of data is not a problem. That's all that ICE offer anyway. As I said, I'm not planning on changing away from ICE in the near future (given the free year that they gave me for a referral). Hopefully they will survive the court battle.

I don't have cable so hadn't noticed the lack of programme info. D1 used to have this too. Are they still running?

D1 has gone also, as far as I know.

There is a free service available called free*EPG http://www.epgstream.net/

They have just added a pay tv epg to their service, using the oztivo data so there is another xmltv feed to play around with.
