What do you mean by CSM? If you're talking about ComSkip, I'm not sure if the .EDL files would do it, but VideoReDo has the ability to cut commercials out using the VPrj files (that comskip can ALSO generate) while it's reencoding.

I'm not seeing the CS and No CS icons next to the thumbnail. I double checked the Comskip Marker Options to make sure it was enabled (CS and no CS). Anybody else seeing this? Did I miss something?

What view are you in? and what version is the STV you're using?

Using the malore menus, in the Recordings menu. Using the latest STV update from a day or two ago.
The markers show up in the default view but not the malore. Edit: I was poking around and found a small error. In one instance when initializing an attribute you use Code:
GetProperty("commercial_timebar_in recording_list", false)

Yes, I'm talking about the v7 version. Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. That's what I get for posting while the kids are making a rukus in the house while I'm supposed to be watching them.

I have SageTV version 6.6.2.218 and STV build 6.6.2.25 from August 8, 2010 and I recently installed the STVI. When I go into my recordings I see the CS logo, but when I hit play the commercials are not skipped. I have an EDL and VPJR file for the video (mpg file).
The STVIs I have installed (in this order) are: dynamic menus multispeed skip video edit weather report suite movie times manual osd auto compress comskip playback Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong, are any of these other STVIs incompatible? Thanks, DH |

Are the commercial blocks being show in the timeline when playing?
In Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Customize -> Comskip Playback Options is Auto Skip enabled? John |

Yes, the autoskip option is enabled. As a side note, I installed the latest Java and rebuilt my STVI for good measure, still doesn't work. -DH |

You could always upgrade to v7.. ;-)

Try using Fuzzy's version from here. It uses a different import method so may work. If not can you post a zipped copy of your SageTV3.xml file and I'll have a look at what's happening. I don't have a copy of that version of SageTV3.xml file.

Does the current version of the Comskip playback plugin still work for Sage V7?
I have downloaded it and loaded the STVi file to the default V7, but when I go to Setup > Advanced > Configure Comskip Playback, all I get is some misplaced text appearing on the top bar of the Sage screen. Clicking anywhere seems to make it disappear, but I don't get any options. I've got SA1 and Dirmon2 installed and they seem to be working together alright, but Sage isn't detecting the .edl files. I notice that I have to import the STVi file from the SageTV3 folder set, not the SageTV7. Does that have anything to do with it? This is a recent rebuild and upgrade to V7 from a rock-solid V6 with SA 0.97 working perfectly, so I'm really missing this last piece of the pie. I have lots of questions about the new SA1, but for now I'd just like to see it integrating with Sage. Thanks for any help.
