I am going to use this too! This is what I was looking for to execute applications from within SageTV.

Cool!

John, on your External Apps plug-in, is there a way to Pop-Up a window in SageTV (where the App was ran) when the .bat file it called finishes?

Or is there a way to open a "Done Window" from the .bat file right at the end of the .bat process?

In the past I have used Nielm's Caller ID/Message popup import, but haven't used it lately. I'll see if I can add something, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it.

John, does your app work on the screen that shows all movies for a particular title?

For example, when I klick on "Star Trek", one of the options is to "Convert all Recordings". Can you app do this, where it can call an application with all of the movies in that category in the argument list?

It would be great if your app would work with a list of movies instead of just one.

John,

Maybe you can add your external apllications to the downloads. I have seen a few requests for something similar in other threads.... I keep directing them to post # 249 in this thread.

Thanks

Would this plugin happen to work in SageMC? I know SageMC has a comskip plugin builtin, but I wanted to be able to use all of the great options that JREWiki's plugin has. Ideas?

No, it won't work in SageMC.

What options are you wanting, that aren't in SageMC?

No icons on 6.2.5 beta

I just installed beta 6.2.5 over 6.2.4. Everything works fine with Comskip Playback and the new beta, except I don't get any of the icons. I tried recopying the icon picture files as well as turning off and on the icon display in the config section. No go. Perhaps new changes are needed for 6.2.5?

Thanks,

Andy

That was the only thing that changed in 6.2.4 as well. I'll have a look when I actually get to my machine.

Added a download to the first post to fix the missing icons in SageTV 6.2.5. I think I've got them all.

Might see if I can add the theme support by the time 6.2 finishes it's beta.

JREkiwi,

I keep having a problem with several of your plugins in the setup screen since 6.2.5. They have always worked great and I love using them so I was hoping you might know what the problem is. I can install them and they work fine but the configuration menu that you access in the Customize section of the Detailed Setup screen is all garbled. I have seen this on some menu editing I had done a long time ago when the themes I did were messed up. I tried adding one at a time (Autocompress) and it was the only one installed and the menu item was garbled. I have attached an image of it.

It's definitely a link to a theme that's not working. I'm using 6.2.5 and Java 1.6.2 as well and it's working fine for me.

If you post your STV with the problem hopefully it shouldn't take too long to sort out what's going on.

Here you go. This is the default STV with just the Autocompress add in installed.

Looks like you have an old version of df_sageutils.jar. Try using the one supplied in the zip (it is the latest version) and see how that goes.

I'll try that. The one I had in my Sage directory was the same size but it was dated 6/29/07 so I didn't replace it originally. I placed the one dated 2/19/07 in the zip file and it worked like a charm. Not sure how that got out of wack but thanks a bunch

Edit: gave that a try and restarted Sge but it still gives me the problem. I am going to try and reinstall Sage and wipeout the JAR folder during that to see if it helps.
