Question ATI 650 HD using 100% of processor...

I just installed the ATI wonder 650 card and the SD reception is the best I have seen by far! I can also receive about 8 channels here in the Atlanta area but whenever I tune to one of the Digital stations, the processor usage jumps to 100% and the playback is choppy and seriously annoying (ie...Totally unwatchable). Here is my setup:

AMD Athlon XP +2600
1gig of DDR
1Tbyte of hard disk
SageTV Beta 6.14
ATI 650 and 550 tuners
2 - MVP extenders
NVIDIA PureVideo

I don't have a video card in the media server (I just VNC) so all of the data is streamed via 100Mb wired LAN. Is this setup just not enough to watch OTA HD or is there a problem with the new 650 card? Anybody?

Question No Help???

No help on this one? Is this because of the HD transcoding to the MVP? Do I have to buy a new processor/Motherboard to do this?

If you are transcoding HDTV resolutioj to be soon on a MVP then I would say yes, that is your issue. That is actually a 1.91 GHz processor. I think Sage was recommending at least a 3 GHz processor for transcoding. And if you have both MVPs watching HD at the same time-you're really going to have performance issues.

I am getting set up for an HD extender that Sage will release in the future..I hope..So sending the HD data to the MVP's is not a must. The HD extender should have hardware decoders on them when something is released. (I have not heard about and HD extender supported yet, but I am being optimistic for the future
