Has anyone ever solved this? I am having this issue with the latest beta, 6.3.1. Have had it forever, submitted bug report ages ago. No solution.

No, and it's become a real problem. I can't play any HD-DVD's while Sage is running because of this, unless I disable FSE, which then causes a chain reaction of all kinds of other things I dislike. Frankly, I'm waiting for CenterStage <http://centerstageproject.com/> to mature so I can dump Sage all together. I really think they stopped caring about a year ago. |

Let us know what comes of it. I haven't had time to submit the bug report again lately.

From tech support:
"We have fixed the issue for version 6.3.8 and it should be released today or tomorrow." Let's hope that's accurate. Wes Simmons |

No it is still a release candidate
maybe Gold Addition? In any case he is asking if it is a released non-beta version. |

I thought he might be meaning a RC, but I wasn't sure.

I have my two HTPCs set to run Sage on windows start up in minimized mode (system tray?). It appears that this triggers the issue with not releasing the VMR9 renderer still. If I quit sage and re-run, all is well though. So the easy work around for me is to just not run sage at start-up. Still, I'd like to report the issue since it seems we're making progress if anyone else can verify?

I am - scroll up a few posts.
The issue only presents itself (v6.3.8) if I let sage start into system tray (minimized) mode. If I exit sage and restart (or simply don't let sage start with windows), the problem no longer exists. I am curious if anyone can replicate this issue before I submit a bug report? Wes Simmons |
