How to import video and have it appear in Recorded TV list
I recently reformatted my PC and have an external hard drive with all my recorded TV. Is there a way to "import" those files into a fresh SageTV install and have it appear in my Recorded TV list (as they did in the past when I first recorded them)? I'd like the shows to appear with the Watched/Not Watched symbols so I can easily see what I need to catch up on.
I've heard chatter about doing something with the wiz.bin file, but I'd rather use my "fresh" wiz.bin file and import my shows I recorded previously. |

Your wiz.bin file contains all of your favorites and watched history. You should really keep it unless you're willing to start over from scratch telling Sage which shows you've watched already.

It is a good idea to setup a scheduled backup in windows and point it to your wiz.bin and sage.preferences files. I have mine do the backup every 2 days in the middle of the night..
Only started doing that after a system crash which left my wiz.bin unrecoverable
