v6.0.14 overwrites newer files?

Before getting the latest SageTV beta, I had AC3Filter v1.11 (stable release) on my computer. After installing the SageTV beta I discovered that a very old version of the AC3Filter has been installed and made active -- AC3Filter v1.01a (alpha/2004). I had to manually delete my "new" accisition and reinstall the latest AC3Filter to get things back to normal.

Yeah, it's been doing that since at least version 4 (haven't tried any previous versions). It irks me, but not enough to submit a bug report.

You should be able to just copy AC3Filter.ax from your AC3Filter install dir to your Sage install dir and restart Sage. That's what I do after installing a new Sage beta, and it seems to work for me.

Well, true. I just didn't want to waste time wondering where the registry settings are pointing to, since it's not just the ".ax" file in the install dir, but also other stuff, like the ac3config.exe and others. No big deal, it just struck me as something that SageTV shouldn't be doing. The ".ax" was registered on the system, and the install could bother to do a simple check before messing with the registry.
