Should I hold?

after much playing with sage and a borrowed PVR150 card, I have decided to purchase a PVR500 dual tuner, A remote, IR receiver, And sagetv client, placeshifter and media center license, all in all right around the $400 mark.

The question I ask is this, I hear Pcalchemy and Sage store usually have significant coupons in december for holidays, Do you think I would show a reasonable savings by waiting a couple of weeks?

the reason I ask is If my understanding is correct and there is a significant savings, Then maybe I can ga ahead and purchase the rest of the stuff I need, AKA, another pvr500 card, 2 more copies of sage client.

Your wisdom is greatly appreciated, Oh great sage gurus....

PS, Bow doesnt seem to work in this forum, so I used next closest thing.

Traker1001,

What you are asking is very hard to answer. Yes, Sage 'usually' runs holiday specials BUT there are no guarantees. On the hand, PCAlchemy is always a good route to go to save a few bucks on Sage compared to the store.

Man, I wish I could be of more help. One thing I can say though, I've NEVER been sorry about my Sage purchase and (for me) it's worth WAY MORE than it has cost.

Thanks for the reply, I just went ahead and purchased the pvr500 card and the media center, I ended up purchasing the card itself from newegg though because with newegg it comes with adapter.

I agree sage is a really nice product, and mainly what has drawn me to it is, For what Frey lacks in official support and function, The community makes up for in sage gurus (Hope you guys don't mind being called gurus.) and plugins.
