Problem with motorola box over fw
So I swear my setup was working until my cable company (charter) updated the guide and firmware on my 64xx box. I cant be sure because I had just gotten sage installed and was just starting to try it out but I really dont remember having this problem before the update.
The problem is when I change channels sometimes it says "no signal" but if I hit stop and then go back to the same channel it works fine. After I get a show rolling it works without a hitch but as soon as I go to change the channel it freaks out again. If I set a recording schedule and put it to standby it will just leave messed up recordings. Sometimes it will luck out and record something but thats defiantly not the norm. Ive tried changing the TuningDelay up and down in the sgraphrecorder config file. Beta 6 works better then 5. 5 just freaks out and locks up and eventually gives me a 0x80040111 error. 5 does it almost every time I try to change channel. Beta 6 at least works some of the time and errors out quicker so I can turn to a channel hit stop and go back to it and start watching. As for the motorola box this is what it gives me for the firmware Platform built: version: 10.13 feb 10 2006 16:53:24 Ive uninstalled/reinstalled everything. I even ended up reinstalling windows (for a different reason). I tried it on a completely different computer and it does the exact same thing. I tried that microsoft firewire kb fix. Ive tried changing which mpeg decoder from nvidia to cyberlink to intervideo. I never have a problem with capdvhs or vlc. What really torqs me is that I paid for sagetv the day before the cable company did their epg "update". Any ideas floating around? |
