XMLTV Re-run status in UK?

I've been using Alan Birtles RT XMLTV grabber for an age now and its been excellent for me.

I'm trying to find a way of correctly marking Re-runs as re-runs in sage - the RT grabber does mark some as re-runs but most programmes are marked as First runs.

I've had a look at Stephane's new XMLTV import tool and it looks like, given enough time, it will learn what programmes have aired before. I'm wondering if anyone has had success using any other methods to correctly tag re-runs.

Does anyone have a method of getting UK epg data into sage that has the correct First run / re-runs flags?

Stephane's importer is your best bet. That or persuade Sage to arrange decent EPG for UK users

Problem with using Stephane's (AFAICS) is that there are a lot of programmes that do either have rerun or identifiers done correctly, especially on the big 5 and Sky One. The rerun processing starts fresh with Stephane's, so for the first year you may get some longer-term programmes re-recording which otherwise would have been seen as reruns. Shows that seem to work fine for me include all the CSIs on Five, BSG on Sky One, Prison Break etc. But anything on Nat Geo, BBC3 etc. is a real PITA. It's trying to decide which is the biggest PITA that's the problem...

Thanks for the info - I've set up Stephane's importer now so hopefully should start to get more re-runs

May also help to use the +1 generator in Alans grabber as the Radio Times data is often missing detail for the repeat of a programme airing an hour later on the +1 channels.

If you have any problems getting it to work give me a shout and I'll email over my config. I seem to remember having to edit a few odds and sods to get it working properly.
