Artifacting at the Top of playback
I'm new to sage so please forgive my ignorance.
I'm experiencing what appears to be some sort of artifacting at the top of the screen during Live TV and during playback of recorded TV. There are a few pixels (1 or 2) worth of static at the extreme top of the playback. I have tried running sage both in fullscreen and windowed mode with the same behavior. I am running the current version of sage (15 day eval) on a xp pro box with a NVIDIA dualTV card. I've tried both the packaged decoder with sage as well as the NVIDIA decoder. Changing the recording quality doesnt seem to change anything either. Any suggestions? |

Sounds like the closed captioning data. It is there when you watch regular tv, but you don't see it because of overscan. You need to increase the overscan settings in Sage so that it doesn't show up on the screen.
Go to Setup Menu-->Detailed Setup-->Multimedia-->Aspect Ratio Settings. Then increase the vertical stretch by 1 or 2%. I'd also increase the horizontal by the same amount so that the aspect ratio doesn't get distorted. |
