SageTV 5.0.4 Client is "CHOPPY"
Hi
I just put up 5.0.4, and it is awesome. I also am trying the Client on my super fast AMD 3400+ 2gig machine. The client comes up, sees the server machine and I connect to it. The 'initializing' takes about 30 seconds on the client. Then if I say to watch a video, it takes 10 MINUTES or so before it starts and then plays 1/2 sec, freezes for a sec or more, then 1/2 on. I am a network engineer and did some checking. CPU was way below 15% usage. Network usage, on a 100-BT Full-duplex line was under 100 KB/sec, so that is under 10% utilization. As a test, I downloaded a 50 meg file at 150kb/sec with no slowdowns, so it is something in the client. So what can cause such a slowdown?
