Funny thing about my MVP and the v6 Beta

I started noticing the response time of my MVP slowing when I installed the first v6 beta. I didn't feel like reverting back to 5 so I figured I would just deal with it. It was really strange because the response time seemed perfectly fine the closer I got to the MVP, so I was wondering if it was SageTV or my MVP.

Suddenly it struck me yesterday that I was using the original batteries in one of those leftover Radio Shack MVPs! I replaced the batteries and now all works well!

There's my bonehead move of the month!!

Just a coincidence that the batteries dieing happened right after I installed the beta...

thats funny in a way. If it was your regular TV menu responding slow, you would have figured that the battery is low as the first thought. But due to the MVP having a history of problems, you overlooked the obvious battery problem.

Batteries? I assume you are referring to the remote's batteries? My MVP has no visible battery compartments.

I'm assuming that the 'trouble' was that the MVP appeared to be lagging, but in fact the remote was sending command sporadically because the batteries were low.
