Trouble downloading EPG updates

Greetings everyone,
Has anyone else had trouble connecting to the zap2it server to get EPG updates? I have had sagetv running for over a year with no problems, and no all of a sudden I have "No Data" for every channel. I have even tried removing all sources and reinstalling them, no luck. It still gets up to date weather information, and I can ping any IP address no problem, so I know its still connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, is SageTV in this category:

Did you try everything from the first question in this FAQ?

Also, SageTV pays Zap2It for the EPG data. I believe that letter you referred to is very old.

Thanks for the help..

Thank you for your help. I have tried all of the things listed in the FAQ to no avail. I did just turn on logging, but have a question: Where is the log file written to, and what is it named?
Thanks much!

(Also, thanks for letting me know about zap2it, I kinda figured that Sage would be paying for that, but I couldn't find a date on the letter)

sagetv_0.txt will be in the directory where SageTV is installed -- where sagetv.exe and sage.properties are.

Thank you for the help. The log file stated that EPG was waiting due to system activity. I edited the properties file and found that it was set to only download EPG when the system was inactive. I changed that, and now I am getting some EPG data back. I hope that it will gather all the EPG data within a few hours or so.

I have no idea how it got set to do that. I didn't even know the properties file existed until I started having this problem and looked into it??????

Oh well, it seems to be fixed, I hope!

Thanks again for the advice and information.

Have a good one...
