Full manual recording
Hi all I would like to know if there is full manual recording available. I can't find it in the manual. The reason for this is because of PPV on directtv. I know that i can make a channel for recording but then have to adjust the start and stop time because all PPV is in 4 hour block. Also if i wanted to manual record a channel on friday at 8pm regardless of what is showing.

There is no such option in SageTV. It has been requested before, and I believe it is slated for a future release. Of course you could use SageRecorder, but it sounds like you are using SageTV for things other than just timed recordings so that won't help.

Doing the time adjustment actually does create a full manual record. It just has a 'meta' information pointer back to the original show that overlapped with it for reference purposes.
In SageTV2 it'll be exposed in a way where you can simply set the time and channel and don't have to awkwardly do it through the adjustment of an already selected recording.
