Strange Experience Burning
Last night I attempted to burn a Sage recording to send to my son at school. It's one of his favirite shows and I do this with each episode. Prior to this I was using Intervideo's Home Theater, but I recently decided to use Sage due to the greater functionality. Now, I don't get fancy with the burns like putting in menus and stuff. I usually just burn the file as a data file and he just runs it in WMP. It makes for a faster burn that way. However, this time I kept getting an error in Nero Burning Rom saying "Illegal Disc". I figured I had just gotten a bad DVD-R disc, so I grabbed another one. Same thing. Hmmmm. I think maybe perhaps the burner has developed a problem, so I try to burn one of the old files. It goes through fine. Now I'm confused. I try to burn the Sage file and it still won't burn. Smae error message and it happens within the first couple of seconds after hitting the Burn button. I'm using an NEC 3500A burner that I have used to burn both DVD+R and DVD-R before. It just doesn't make sence.
Does anyone know why this is happening. Is there some difference between the two files? I mean, they are both mpeg files. Why won't the Sage file burn when the others do.
Thanks,
BT
