Drudging up an old thread here...hoping people are still subscribed....I wanted a DualTV card, but I can't find them and it looks like the Saber 2020 is the closest thing to it. Now that Sage 6.2 (beta) is out, how is this card working? Seems like it had a rough start...

I've been using the Saber 2020 since Christmas. With Sage 6.2.4 and VistaView drivers 1037.0.1 I am quite happy with the card. By Sage standards, I am not a power user - I use it for live TV and occasional recordings - but picture quality and CPU utilization are both satisfactory and it reliably records everything I've asked it to. I'm running XP Pro (tried Vista for a few months and went back - I'll try again after SP1 comes out)
Should mention, I am using S-Video input from cable boxes for both tuners. Some people (including me) had picture quality issues with RF signals but that was before Sage hardware support and before the current driver release. I decided to pay my local cable company an extra $3.00/month for a second box so I don't need RF any more. Last edited by jmiddleton; 07-17-2007 at 05:29 PM. |

Thanks jmiddleton,
I am interested in the quality of the normal NTSC analog channels when hooking the card directly to coax rather than capturing via an STB. It sounds like the card is functioning though, and can't possibly be worse than my PVR-250, so I think I'll go ahead and buy it. |
