Decent PCI-e Graphics Card for SAGE under £75
Hello,
I recently decided to splash some cash on my sagetv setup, so I have upgraded to: Pentium 4 3.0ghz 1gbRAM 533 1x Hauppauge NOVA-T 1x Hauppauge NOVA-T 500 (Dual Tuner) I am in need of a decent PCI-e graphics card and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions? It will just be for Sage, no gaming etc and I am looking to spend under £75 if poss, but please feel free to be extravagant! Cheers, Mat. |

I just bought all new components to build a mediacenter PC as my old box is getting pretty dated, so I did some research on this same subject. I'm not sure of the conversion rate, but here is what I would recommend.
The card that I chose is a XFX Geforce 7600GT 256MB (item #PVT73GUGD3). Here is a link. The cost is $149.00 USD with a $10 mail in rebate. So $139.00 USD after rebate. If I could have given up the slot under my PCI-x16 slot I would have gotten the Gigabyte Geforce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 (item #GV-NX76T256D-RH). It's fanless, so it would not added any fan noise to your mediacenter. Here is a link. It is currently priced at $159.99 USD with a $30 mail in rebate. So after rebate it is $129.99 USD. Happy graphics card hunting! Carl |
