Angry Licences (again!)

I am angry!

Having had a hard drive failure on a sage client machine, I reloaded XP onto a replacement disk. When it came to loading sage client I entered the licence key that I had used before. Sage then wouldn't allow me then to connect to my server saying that I needed to buy more licences. What is worse, I have a spare client licence, having bought media extender licences rather than using the client plug-in that I had been using, but there is no obvious way to enter an alternative licence number.

I have been working on this client all weekend, needing to have it back in service for Monday evening. That seems no longer possible. There are always technical problems that cause delay and that is always, albeit reluctantly acepted, but I cannot accept that I am unable to use the client tomorrow because Sage won't let me.

Although it's somewhat irrelavent, Sage have done well out of me; I have 2 server, 3 client and 4 media extender licences and I am (was?) just about to pay for the upgrades to the latest beta, and I totally resent not having the possibility of a service that I have paid for.

Apologies for the rant, I don't often let go but it is a symptom of my anger.

BTW, does anyone know how I can enter an alternative licence number into the client in this situation?

Just posted this on another thread!
p235, start it with the REGISTER command line parameter - I assume it works in the Client too.

Try restarting SageTV on the server, the IP of your client probably changed so the server thinks you're trying to use the same license on two clients.

If you rebuilt/reinstalled your client PC & it then won't use the license you used on the same PC previosuly & you haven't yet restarted your SageTV server, then restart SageTV on the server. The server is probably still seeing that particular client license as being in use by the old client setup.
