Transcode into .WMV ?

This new transcode feature look great. I've transcoded some HD content to DVD standerd but would aslo like to create windows media files to play back on a PDA. Is there a way to do this? I've done it before using Windows movie maker.

Use TCPMP (link). Much better than WMP, and no need for wmv format.

Great link, Thanks

However I get a notice when I play back mp4 files that states:

Player: MPEG4 AAC Audio decoder not included!
It was removed from the offical install etc:

Anyways the video plays back fine but no audio. I installed some of there plugins ie: ac3 audio, but it still doesn't work. There is very poor documentation on there site.

So I'm back to square one. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

After I Posted I found the fix. Visited the forms on their site and found a link to a plugin. Works Great!

TCMP's site has been up and down so I uploaded the newest version of the aac plugin that I have here: http://uppit.com/AJ48O

In general, its best to encode to divx or xvid for playback on TCMP. It is optimized for that. The rest tend to encounter skipping and such on lower powered devices with higher res/bitrate media. As to why you can't play mp4s, I am pretty sure you need a plugin. I think its this one: http://uppit.com/CW50T but I am not positive. If its not, I don't remember, but I have all the plugins so just let me know which one it is.

Ahhh.. Got it working on my PPC2003. I needed the AAC codec (thanks!!) and I had to chage Ipodifier to encode into h264 instead of MP4. All seems well now

Can you recommend a good standard or custom Sage compression profile for PDA encoding ?

Thanks,
Dirk
