Diagnosing lost network connectivity...

My client PC will intermittently lose all network connection. I have previously used the onboard nic, I updated its drivers and even recently added a PCI Gb nic. It still does this every couple hours (or less). I do not know if it is a Sage issue, because that is all I use this box for. I check the event viewer and find nothing. In the Sage log, I only find a message that the connection to the server has been lost. It is difficult to work with since this machine is only connected via svid to an SD tv. Of course when the problem occurs, VNC wont work. I'll probably drag a monitor in there over the weekend, but wondered if someone might help point me in the right direction to start the diagnosis.

Thanks!

ASUS P4S800 board
P4 2.8
1GB ram
Nvidia 5700
Zonet ZEN3301E (Realtek 8169) nic

Maybe check the power settings of the NIC itself to make sure it isn't going into a sleep mode of some sort?

I used to have this problem as well.

I set my server and all my client to static IP's and that solved the issue. I guess it was something with the IP lease renewal disrupting the connection.
