Removing Java (JRE) 1.5.06
Is there any way to remove Java, other than the obvious through the Add/Remove programs facility?
I have been stuck with JRE 1.5.06 and lived with it despite its problems with V5. With V6 beta I am having some issues that maybe java related and I want to get rid of it and downgrade to 1.4.2.12. Unfortunately, trying to remove it using the supplied uninstaller, crashes WinXP and when the system reboots, 1.5.06 is still there.....  .Any ideas?

If you just install 1.4 that should do it, 1.5 will still be there but everything will use 1.4. You can always just remove the 1.5 folder (but I would install 1.4 and reboot first).
