Beta Client wont load on Tablet PC edition

All,

I am running windows XP Tablet PC edition and am attempting to load the 6.0 client on a sytem that is/was currently running 5.0.4. I keep getting the and getting the "corrupt installation detected check source media.." message.

I have checked the forum/faq and have done the following to no avail.

a. Used windows update to update xp.
b. Uninstalled and reinstalled java JRE 1.5.0.0.9
c. Deinstalled Sage Client (5.0.4) and removed sage folder
e. Cleaned ie cache and downloaded again, and again
f. Downloaded file to another computer and copied to flash drive.


Reloading the 5.0.4 client goes smoothly. (just won't connect to 6.0 server as expected)

Can anyone verify that this client works on xp for tablet pc and/or give me some idea where to look next.

Try uninstalling java and let the Sage install put the version of java that comes with it. I have a Tablet PC but I'm using Placeshifter on it because it has the transmeta processor and performance sucks. If I get time I'll try to load the full client.

Gerr,

No joy after removing java jre.

I also downloaded the placeshifter beta w/same results.

5.o.4 client loaded back again just fine - inlcuding reloading jre 1.4.2_11.

Any other ideas?
