I was thinking of updating my personal server to v5 around the end of the year and if everything goes well, update my parent's server soon after.

How can none of you make the most important conversion at all, of course, to SBUs. [standard beer units].

Let's see, that's:
- 5 six packs of decent beer
- 15 bottles of Mad Dog fortified liquor
- 6 drinks at the local bar.

No matter which you cut it, it's either 1 night of fun, or months of enjoyment in front of the HTPC. Althought, the more I think about it, after drinking 5 six packs of beer, i'd probably 1)pass out, and 2)Buy SageTV6.0 right before I did. Heck, I'd pick up a few copies and hand them out as xmas gifts...

You won't regret it. I upgraded from 2.2.8 in August to 5 and 5 is awesome.
