offline encoding
Hi,
I use SageRecorder software together with an ADVC2000 capture MPEG2 encoding card, and I am very satisfied from both. Especially SageRecorder is rock and valid. Now I ask if it would be possible to use SageREcorder to access to MPEG hw encoder resources in the ADVC board to encode an avi file offline! I will do an example: I have captured a movie from my S-VHS camcorder, as avi file, and I have edited it by using Ulead MS Pro 6, adding transitions, color corrections, and musical comments. Then I produced an output avi file. I want to encode this file to MPEG2 using the hardware codec of the ADVC2000. How to do it? Can SageRecorder be of some help? Many Thanks. mario

can't be done... not unless yuo feed the avi output through tv out into the input of your mpeg2 hardware cap card. that would require 2 pc's one with the tv out.

I capture fine from my ATI9500 pro right into the Hauppauge 250 using SAGE on my PIII. I do feed the output from ATI to the VCR and the sound from Audigy 2 into VCR. I grab this with Sage fine, Wintv2000 grabs too much cpu to do this so I use Sage Recorder works ok. Maybe that will help. HappyHalloween.
