How do I clear out all of my missing recordings?
I had one of my library hard drives die. I'm trying to move through the phases of grief to acceptance, but I can't do so without getting rid of the constant reminder of what happened. How do I get the shows that used to be on that drive to stop showing up in my library?! They taunt me so...

Stop Sage, map an empty folder to that same drive letter and path, then restart Sage so it can see that the folder exists and is empty. Refresh Imported Media probably wouldn't hurt. Once the recordings have disappeared from the list, remove that recording directory from your Sage config, stop Sage again, remove the drive mapping, and restart.

library as in import library, or as your Sage Recordings?
If as in sage recordings, Sage is waiting for the drive to come back on line to see if the recording files are still there. If, when the drive comes back, the recording files were still there, then Sage would use them like they never left. But, if when the drive came back, the recording files aren't there, then Sage will delete the recording info from Sage. So, what you need to do is to show Sage an empty drive with the same drive letter as your old hard drive. You can temporarily map a drive letter to an empty folder, or else pop in a usb drive and change the drive letter to match. Once Sage sees the empty drive, it will delete the listings and you can then remove the temp drive. |
