Can't Get USB-UIRT Zones Working

Ok, I'm pulling my hair out. I'm trying to get a brand new USB-UIRT to control two identical cable boxes using the USB-UIRT's zones. I've done everything according to the instructions (stereo to mono splitter, two mono 1/8" jacks, changes to the IR files). Nothing works.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well, you're not going to believe this. Apparently, the 1/8" IR input jack on the back of the SciAtlanta 3250 is IR output, not input. In a million years that was never going to work. Guess I need to buy som IR emitters, huh?

Hopefully my foolishness will help some hapless 3250 owner in the future.

Glad you figured it out.

Yeah, that output is so the 3250 can tell a VCR when to start recording.

For emitters, I got them from the cableco. Every time I get a new box or trade an old one for a new one they give me the box, a remote, and an emitter. I now have half a dozen of them in a box for backups.

All of the USB-UIRT's sold in the last year and a half or so are capable of 3 seperate zones.

Not really, it isn't a generic term; there is a single product specifically named "USB-UIRT" & there are links for it in this index list: Information Resources for Remotes, Receivers, and IR Blasters. The ones with a 'Z' after the serial number are multi-zone capable.

There are a few other IR Blaster
But only 3 work with SageTV
The one's build on the PVR 150 Npte that SagveTV can't control Multi-PVR150 Card under Windows only Linux can.
USB-UIRT
Actisys ACT IR-200L
