Having run beta tests from the other end of the desk I guess I'm used to the quick reply and early engagement model. Getting NDR's out and signed and back takes time - gotta get the process rolling. Plus it's always nice to know someone got your email and it didn't go into a black hole somewhere - a simple "we got your email, keep your shorts on" note would be a nice touch.
just my two cents...

They probably got your email, so keep your shorts on.
Does that help? - Andy

I don't suppose somebody at Sage is willing to confirm a Mac version of Sage plus iTV is the HD extender solution we have been salivating over?

I checked the OS version and unfortunately I have 10.3.9 so my email will probably be sent to the bit bucket in the sky |

Will these be version 5 or 6? I'm assuming the server will be v6 since that one article said it'd be out next year.

I really can't get my head around this there are no INTEL mac drivers for the wintv-pvr-usb2. The eskape web page had not been updated since 2002, so in what way are sage initially going to be supporting a device that has no support?
I'm going to stick with the (cumbersome) sage/pvr-usb2 through bootcamp. |

hi there,
its great to hear that sagetv will run on osx in near future. i have a mac mini ppc 1.42 with 1gig, so i would use this as my server. has my mac mini the 'power' to work with my plextor convertx? will the plextor convertx be supported with one of the first releases? is there a releasedate for sagetv-osx? thx, Madhead |

I was thinking of either a Shuttle x200 or Mac Mini as a server+client to drive a 720P projector. I'm waiting to see if Apple releases some update of the Mini that has more storage. For anyone interested, here's my comparison table: Code:

Here's hopping for HDHomeRun support
I'm really looking forward to SageTV on Mac, but consider this a desperate plea for HD Homerun support. I was in the midsts of upgrading an old PC to use as a Sage Server, but the processor upgrade did not go as planned, and I some how fried the whole machine
Now that I need a new machine, and I'll be using it for general computing I decided that I really want it to be a Mac. The perfect solution would be SageTV using my HD Homerun, so here's hoping that the Sage Mac version supports that awesome encoding device. The next options are considerably dicier, running either Sage or Myth through Parallels. Meanwhile my girlfriend is really sick of our no TV situation, and I fear that a b&w Zenith with rabbit ears will be in our future. |

Oh man, I just found my way to this thread... I assume it's too late to get in on the Beta Testing, but I own a MacBook Pro and a Hauppage USB tv tuner as well as the Plextor TV-100U (which came with SageTV Lite but for Windows). Alas, I have since switched from Windows...

Too late for the beta, but you can still use the mac placeshifter.
