Weather - Wrong Temperatures

I know Sage gets the weather from weather.com but here is something I cannot understand. First, and most important when I go to the weather it will say TODAY High: 78 then it will show the temperature right now during the day at 85. How can the high be 78 when it is 85 right now? Second, my wife complains that it can be off by as much as 10 degrees and yet when she looks in the newspaper, they always have the correct weather.

I then checked weather.com to make sure that the website also has the wrong info and it is not just Sage not reading it wrong. Well, weather.com does indeed show the high for today is 78 and it then shows right now it is 85 (zip code is 91362). Now, how is that possible?

Thanks,
Mike

It would sound like the high temp of 78 may be the forcast temp, but that the current 85 temp is the actuall correct current temp. You may be expecting it to be keeping track of the actual high and lows for the day.

If weather.com's forecast is consistently way off for your area, maybe they've got their database messed up & are actually giving you the forecast for someplace else near you. I would contact them if it continues & tell them their web site is showing incorrect info. (SageTV just reports what it gets from weather.com.)

Or go to Weather.com, plug in your ZIp code, and see if it returns the same data...

He did check weather.com (and I did too), and it shows the same info as Sage reports. So, either it's that the forecast for today was lower than the actual temp, or like Andy mentioned, Weather.com has something wrong with his weather info.
