PVR-150 Remote Not Working

Okay, for a couple months, my remote has been dead. Batteries are fresh, work in other remotes. The power button won't even turn WinTV2000 on. The cable is fine because the IR Blaster lights up. What can I do?

Did you unplug/replug the IR cable and restart IR.exe?

Have you added another tuner card & now the IR driver is looking for the remote on the other card? This can happen even if the other card is an MCE version of a Hauppauge tuner w/o a remote cable socket.

If it doesn't work at all, I would contact Hauppauge support.

Yes I unpluged/repluged and restarted IR.exe many times. I even reinstalled the remote drivers and that didn't work.

I have not added a tuner card. I'm guessing it's off to Hauppauge support?

Maybe someone else will have a suggestion, but I would contact Hauppauge. Others have had cables go bad & I've even had the 150's IR socket break from a tug on the cable.

(I would solder on a new socket if I knew where to get one...)

Thanks for the information and suggestion. I just contacted Hauppauge and I will wait for their response. Thanks again.
