| Should i leave the MPV on all the time?

Hello! Well the title says it all; should i leave my MPV on 24/7? My server is on 24/7.. The reason i am asking is because it happened twice now that when i turn the MPV on, the booting screen disappear and then i loose total control over the MPV (like if it's crashing..) So i have to unplug and then re-plug so it boots up and works from there. Thank you, itsanogo

I usually leave mine on, or sort of -- using the power button on the remote puts it into a soft power off & that is how I leave it. - Andy

Hi itsanogo Andy put its very simple, but you don't have to spend a lot of time searching this forum to find that a lot of people have big problems with their mvp connecting and/or reconnecting the server. Ideally it should no be necessary to keep everything up and running 24/7 but to avoid crash it can be necessary. I live in Europe where electricity cost a bit more than in the US, so I put my server to sleep when not in use. Unfortunately that makes my MVP to crash. And even if I keep my server on 24/7 push the power on the mvp and it crash when you try to reconnect. I have addressed the problem to Sage back in version 4, and they say they are aware of the problem and it will be solved. I hope so soon, because the WAF is VERY low. Rtengvad

I leave mine on 24/7. I like being able to turn the TV on and having instant response.

My MVP has been on for about 4 months. Waiting degrades the all-important WAF.
