Firefly remote and Sagetv 5....Not working right???

I have just received my new Firefly remote to use with Sagetv 5. It somewhat works. But I'm noticeing that the Play, stop type buttons don't work with recoeding or my dvd under media center. Do I need to load a new STV for it? Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

It is not a problem with the stv, it is a problem with the standard xml file that comes with the firefly software. The file is under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Snapstream\Firefly\Profiles\SageTV-FreyTechnologies-1.4.xml for the sagetv server or client, and it uses SageTV-Placeshifter.xml for the Placeshifter client.

For the client and server you need to edit the following line from the default config:
<Identifier ClassName="sage.d" WindowText="SageTV" FileName="" />
to
<Identifier ClassName="sage" WindowText="SageTV" FileName="" />

and the begining lines for the placeshifter client is:

- <Profile Type="SnapStream.Firefly.Core.Profile" Name="SageTV Placeshifter" ShowOSD="False">
<Identifier ClassName="sage.miniclient.MiniClientWindow" windowText="SageTV Placeshifter" FileName="" />

Once these are set, you can customize the file to change button functionality.

- <Profile Type="SnapStream.Firefly.Core.Profile" Name="SageTV Placeshifter" ShowOSD="False">

You only need to make the placeshifter change if you plan on running the placeshifter client on the machine with the firefly remote. You can find the commands used in Sage under the settings/detailed setup/commands/Link you can get the keyboard commands for each function. I just looked through the other profiles and figured out what the key names were for the firefly.
