Odd RWD FFWD behavior on Imported MPG's

I have some bizzare behavior on some imported MPG files. First of all, when I select "Watch Now" they don't immediately play. They act as if they're starting at the end of the file. I have to press play.

Whenever I press RWD or FFWD the video merely starts over from the beginning.

These files play just fine in Windows Media Player.

Anybody seen this before?

I've seen this with corrupted mpegs before. No way to FF or REW in Sage, but in WMP I could click on the timeline to advance or backup. Sometimes I couldn't jump forward or back in WMP either and would have to watch the entire recording without any skipping.
