Video Management Software?
There are tons of software out there to manage my music library...
Windows Media Player WinAmp iTunes MediaMonkey (which I currently use) Is anyone using a 3rd party software for their video library? I'm looking for something that can help me organize and tag my video library. thanks

Thanks for the links.
Though seem to be for two different purposes.

Jriver media centre does video indexing and has a full screen UI. I don't use it for videos though so I can't comment on the quality of its video library. It does play videos back well enough.

Xlobby? www.xlobby.com? Free software. I only use it for music though, and for multizonal audio at that.

MPEG database
I am also looking for MPEG database. I am currently using the SageTV default STV. The video catalog system within SageTV is OK if you only have a few dozen videos. However, if you want to hold hundreds or thousands of videos and clips, the catalog is very clunky and hard to use.
MusicMatch does a good job keeping track of music. It is very easy to find music even if there are thousands of tracks. The products DVD Profiler and Extreme Movie Manager are programs that are for simply catloging a video library of DVDs. Does anyone know of a MPEG player, program that could be used with SageTV to make the database more like MusicMatch? Dave |

If you want to wait, v5.1 has an improved music section. No clue what changes were made or how well it will work though.

Do video formates support ID3 tagging like music? It would be fantastic if SageTV used this instead of seperate files. That way I could move them around and import videos easily.

A while back, Sage started using the tagging info when displaying video files, and it took a couple betas to get it all sorted out. |
