Problems setting up SA 1840 STB
I just got my Scientific Atlanta 1840 STB from Rogers (I live in Ottawa, Canada) and I cannot find a code set that permits the Hauppauge IR blaster to control the thing. I've been using the Hauppauge IR Blaster configuration tool).
Also, SageTV (5.0.4.092) doesn't give me an option to add a new device (the 1840) so I can't control the STB or setup the audio capture. I was previously using the analogue tuner on my Hauppauge PVR 150 and everything worked just fine. I'm stuck! But I admit I'm a bit of a newbie. What am I missing?

You could try contacting Hauppauge about the IR codes for their blaster.
If you can't get it to work & it uses IR signals, then you should look into something like the USB-UIRT. I don't know if there are other ways to control that box. - Andy

Are yoy using the Beta of the Hauppauge software? It has more IR codes, though I had nothing but trouble with the beta in sage. Maybe it was something specific to me though.

Interesting problem - I couldn't get the release or the Beta version to work. Then, next day a buddy came over to help me and wouldn't you believe it, we have success with Code Set 41. It works all day and evening.
Today, I can't get the 1840 to respond at all. I can see the IR blaster flashing and I've run through all teh code sets again. ?????????????????? Any ideas?
