XVid AVI won't output on PVR350

I have some AVIs that are using this codec:

XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder

They play fine on the computer using both WMP and SageTV (v5.0.2) but the audio and video doesn't go out to the PVR350 for some reason. Live TV works, Sage MPGs work, but not these .avi files.

It would seem I have the codecs installed since it plays in sage on the PC screen.

Any thoughts?

Tom

If you are using the TV out on the PVR350 it only support MPEG files, as far as I know.

The PVR350 is a hardware Mpeg2 decoder. It wont decode Xvid.

Aloha,

Okay, I've converted them to MPG via mencoder. That went pretty well. I try to play them in Sage from Media Center->Imported Videos and these new .mpg play fine on the pc screen but are still not output to the 350 tv out.

Is that expected behavior?

Thanks again,

Tom
