noob questions

Just purchased SageTV after playing with it all night. I tried open source and other products similar to SageTV but found it was the most compatible with my PVR350 and everything worked unlike the others. Now in fine tuneing mode.

1. When you set up a manual timed recording is it possible to give it a title instead of the generic title?

2. I am using the decoder on the PVR-350 and software decoder for my PC. Is there a way to take advantage of my Nvidia 7600GT graphics card on the PC for PC viewing and leaving the 350 decoder for the TV running dual monitors in NView.

3. Getting jitters or slight pauses during liveTV now. Funny only started once I payed for the license LOL LOL LOL

4. Put about 300 pictures in the gallery would this affect performance?

5. Dual Core processors, anyway to take advantage of this?

6. Can't figure out Fullscreen, it wont do it on the PC side.

7. Can't resize the window on the PC side is this possible?

No, but there are cusotmizations that might help. The Web Server has the ability to rename things, I think.

Your video card is doing the decoding for what you see on the PC monitor. The 350's ouput only goes to the TV. And, unless you choose to use hardware only decoding, both outputs will be on.

Other than the initial scan of them, it shouldn't.

Yes - simply run SageTV. It is multithreaded. It may not make much difference for video playback/decoding if that's what you mean, but having 2 cores is useful.

When using the 350's TV-out, the SageTV window size is fixed to match the 350's output size, so you can't change these unless you stop using the 350 for output.
