Try using the default SageTV3.xml STV that got installed with v5.0.4. (Note the xml extension on the file.) System Information is no longer listed at all on the Setup menu in the default STV & is in the Help menu instead, so it sounds like you are using an older or custom STV.

I had installed the meekel stv, and then switched back to the original, I guess I must not have put it back correctly. How do I use the .xml file instead. It's not available as a choice from within sagetv but it is in the directory.

While SageTV is not running, edit sage.properties (or sageclient.properties if using service mode). Change the STV= line to use the correct STV -- you'll probably just have to change .stv to .xml.
(.stv files are much older and cannot 'see' .xml files when choosing an STV file to load.) - Andy
