Geforce 6200 purevideo setup
-am trying to implement this new video card
-mostly looking as good as can be expected -however, when viewing a news channel with an info ticker... -noticed that the charcters proportions seem a little "squished", and cannot figure out how to make the ntsc result seen through sage seem "proper" as far as aspect ratio "height" proportions. -it is slight, but ever so noticeable. I didn't see this with an FX5200 card, nor did I need to adjust the aspect ration settings using that card. -has anyone seen this before, and know the magic solution? thanks |

let me ask this a different way, as it may have read a little convoluted the first time...
With a pny 6200 card and the latest purevideo software... what is the trick to getting a complete mirror image of the originally input signal to come out the other end of sage? The television is a sony 4x3 xbr 36" HD capable set, but I prefer the s-video inputs for various reasons. As it stands now, if I toggle back and forth between input and the HTPC, then the image seems to be ever so slightly squeezed into the same CRT viewing area. With this card, or others that the readers use, is it normal to have to adjust the horizontal and vertical settings? |

I would expect its normal to have to tweak the overscan on a new video card to your liking. Just my opinion
