A180 reception at 43 miles

I'm considering an A180 to attempt get OTA HDTV to use with SageTV, but I'm in a rural area about 43 miles from the desired tower. Is this feasible? What kind of antenna would be required?

How much disk is required per hour of video for a good quality recording? Does Placeshifter handle HDTV recordings? What bandwidth would be needed for a reasonable quality rendition of the HDTV recording via Placeshifter?

As a rule bigger is better like Radioshack VU-190 XR, Winegard HD-8200P and high up the Antennas is the better and sometime a preamplifiers is needed.
