HD options with client/server?

I am looking for some expert guidance in setting up Sage.

I currently have sage on an HTPC located in room #1 connected to an HDTV. This setup has one pvr250/usb-uirt/mce remote for recording and watching timeshifted SD content and DVD's. I use girder/mce remote to switch the TV's input when watching HD content direct from the cable box (definitely not a very elegant solution, but it gets the job done... is ther a better way??)

I just bought a HDTV set for room #2, and want to run Sage here on another HTPC. I also need to view HD content on this set directly from the STB.

What is the ideal system setup for using these two "zones"? I would prefer not to get another STB and complicate things on the PC in room #1 as it is barely able to run sage now (old Athlon1GHz). Is it possible to have two Sage HTPC's recording and sharing their recorded content across the network seamlessly (2 servers)?

I watch a lot of cable HD, and I dont have a method for timeshifting these programs, so I end up watching HD live from the STB. Is this my only option for HD?

Thanks.
Dan

Can you get a different STB from your cable company? One with a harddrive?
