New to linux

I am thinking about switching to linux. I have some question. I'm currently using XP Pro with Meedio as my front for my HTPC. I also use demon tools to mount DVD images. Does Sagetv allow mounting images automaticly with in the program? This is a must have feature in order for me to make the switch.

I don't think so. But someone was working on a plugin for the Windows version of Sage to mount ISO. The Linux version was developed for OEM and doesn't come with any support. Probably not something you want to start with if you're new to Linux. Windows version works great.

yeah...

You probobly don't want to mess around with a linux htpc unless you have prior knowledge. It's not that you won't eventually get it to work, its that it will take you a week and may just break you on the entire htpc thing...
